Welcome to Pine Tree Theater
Newly dubbed “Pirate Theatre,” The Pine Tree High School Department of Theatre Arts is a family. Any student currently enrolled at Pine Tree is eligible to audition for our plays and volunteer to work in our technical department. Opportunities for students in performance and technical theater roles including scenic, lighting, sound, costumes, hair and make-up design.
We currently produce two main-stage plays a year. Our fall production this year is Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka. We will compete in March at the UIL One Act Play Competition. One Act Play is a highly competitive theatrical contest in which students must present their play under 40 minutes. It is the largest high school theater contest or festival in the world. Students present their plays for a panel of judges and are critiqued afterwards, encouraging theatrical growth and deeper theatrical education.

Pine Tree High School theatre students competed in the UIL District One Act Play competition March 7-8, 2017 in Sulphur Springs, TX.
Pine Tree received Alternate (4th) for their performance of "Ville Du Havre"
at the competition.
Micaiah Higginbotham and Allison Slack recieved "Honorable Mention All-Star Cast" awards in recogniton of their individual performances.
Robert Childers received "All Star Cast" in recognition of his individual performance.
Alyssa Bethard was selected for "All-Star Technical Crew."
